About the 
Alon Project

The Alon Project treats 'obstetric fistulas', a preventable birth complication affecting vulnerable women worldwide, especially in Uganda where rates are the highest globally. This injury leads to incontinence, social isolation, loss of work, infection, and infertility but can be prevented and treated with proper healthcare resources.The Alon Project provides surgeries that help Ugandan women reintegrate into society.

November 2024 Medical Mission

Our team lead by Dr. Devorah Heymann are departing to Uganda on the 2024 mission on November 8th. Our goal while there is to operate on and treat 60 Ugandan women patients. We also will train an additional 2 local doctors, set up 2 surgical camps and 1 home operation. We need your help to make this goal possible!
