WHAT
WE DO
Our approach to change women's lives in Uganda is multi faceted. In addition to healing their bodies, there is also a crucial focus on reintegration to society.

Programs in maternal and child health:
high risk waiting homes
neonatal CPR courses
The Alon Project is a not-for-profit organisation that treats women in Uganda who suffer from obstetric fistula and other devastating childbirth injuries. Obstetric fistula is a tragic and demoralising birth complication, affecting the world's most vulnerable and poor women that leaves them incontinent and as a consequence ostracised from society and unable to find work.
With surgery, The Alon Project can cure these women and help integrate them back into society. Sustainability and capacity building are also paramount and each medical mission has a teaching focus of local doctors and nurses. During our next medical mission in November 2024 we will be running neonatal CPR course alongside aimed at decreasing preventable neonatal deaths.
